The supermarket "Edeka", which is actually more a supermarket cum old fashioned general store as it sells everything from top quality foods to fishing nets.
It has a bakery where fresh bread is delivered every morning at
7.30a.m. along with croissants, gateaux and strawberry tarts. What a
way to start the day.
Fresh fruit and dairy products are of course available.
The fresh meat department rivals anything in Sainsbury's or Waitrose
and is ideal if you don't want to eat out every night if you're up to
the cooking.A fresh fish van comes four times a month and the schedule can be obtained from reception.
Also a couple of times a month there is a flea market at the main entrance. Again, check with reception.
